Modern sports broadcasting is a "war of numbers." Scorebug, which in the past displayed only the score and remaining time, has now transformed into a showcase of sophisticated statistical data. Major League Baseball (MLB)'s "Statcast" and the Premier League's statistical systems use ultra-precision sensors to measure player movement paths, launch angles of batted balls, and ball spin rates. This raw data is integrated with broadcast production systems and converted into real-time graphics. For instance, in baseball broadcasts, the trajectory of a pitcher's throw remains as a line on the screen, or in soccer, pass success rates are displayed as percentages. This presents viewers with a new perspective on watching the game. It provides intuitive information to novice fans lacking expertise and offers the enjoyment of in-depth analysis to hardcore fans, often referred to as "otaku." The advancement of graphic technology does not stop there but extends to "digital twin" technology. Attempts are also being made to overlay virtual characters onto the broadcast screen by rendering the actual movements of players as real-time 3D avatars. This is utilized for applications such as animated character broadcasts targeting child audiences, contributing to the expansion of the fan base. Data science also influences the composition of commentary. Rather than relying on subjective intuition, commentators now critique or predict tactics based on data, thereby enhancing the credibility of the broadcast. The combination of data and graphics has elevated sports broadcasting into intellectual entertainment. Black TV
